Community, education, and leadership

A selection of organisations we actively support through governance, volunteering and sponsorship

U3A Cambridge

Carey was a founding member of U3A Cambridge and has been involved in establishing and running the organisation since its inception.

Moneyworks is a foundation supporter of U3A Cambridge, providing financial and operational support to help the organisation grow and deliver shared learning opportunities for older members of the Cambridge community.  www.u3acambridge.org.nz

Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari

Moneyworks has made a long-term, multi-year financial funding commitment to support Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, the largest inland ecological restoration project in the Southern Hemisphere.

Our support is provided through the purchase of Ekos BioCredits, which directly fund predator control, ecological restoration, and the ongoing operation of the sanctuary.

This is a deliberate commitment to protecting biodiversity in our region and supporting an organisation whose work delivers lasting environmental outcomes, year after year.

Moneyworks are proud to be involved with Cambridge Cricket Association

Cambridge Cricket Association

Peter is Treasurer and Secretary of the Cambridge Cricket Association and plays an active role in the administration and ongoing operation of the club.

Moneyworks also supports the Association through team sponsorship, reflecting our broader commitment to community organisations beyond financial services.

Ethical investment research and sector leadership

Voices of Aotearoa – Demand for Ethical Investment in New Zealand

Moneyworks sponsored the Voices of Aotearoa Consumer Demand Survey in 2025, carried out by Mindful Money and RIAA.
The research provides independent insight into New Zealanders’ attitudes to ethical and responsible investment, contributing to evidence-based discussion across the sector.

Mindful Money

Moneyworks has supported Mindful Money through sponsorship and sector involvement, including sponsorship of the 2021 and 2022 Mindful Money Awards, and sponsorship of the 2024 Mindful Money Conference.

Carey has served as a judge of the Mindful Money Awards from 2022 to 2025 and contributes to related webinars and industry discussions.

As members of RIAA and Financial Advice New Zealand, we contribute time and expertise to support industry development.

This has included conference panels, workshops, judging, and case study presentations between 2021 and 2026.
